Distribution/Warehousing Support Manager

Responsibilities / Main tasks

• Responsible to lead, develop, plan and execute distribution and warehousing activities using world class internal material handling practices.

• Design and implement the complete internal logistic flows

• Define manpower and equipment requirement, taking into consideration the cost reduction and productivity targets for logistics (time studies, manning/balancing, routing, etc.)

• Personal and departmental KPIs development, implementation and maintenance

• Design and implement the logistic areas’s layouts

• Participate in and/or lead Kaizen events to improve operations, reduce costs, and maximize productivity

• Support the implementation of the continuous improvement activities

• Maximize the network warehouses storage capacity. Complement and support the planning department in its actions.

• Become an expert and/or Key User in VPS (Continuous Improvement) tools

• Bring innovation and creativity to the supply chain processes

• Work closely with the distribution network managers improving communication and supporting them in all relevant activities

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Engineering and 2 years’ experience in the Supply chain and or industrial engineering environment

• Business and administration degree and 2 years of experience in a supply chain environment

• Any other relevant training/ experience that could help to be fully sufficient and efficient in the position

• Working knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is key

• Capacity to travel in the USA and Canada
