About the Position
The Production Engineer is a part of a cross-functional, goal-oriented production team. In this role, you will secure assembly processes and performance along with implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives in your area of responsibility. You will build capabilities to reach a world class level in operational excellence.
This position will sit in the factory environment at Macungie, PA.
Main activities and responsibilities
Responsible to develop the assembly processes with the goal of meeting manufacturing targets using Lean Manufacturing principles. And also responsible for safety, quality, delivery, and the cost of the production process, as well as projects.
Responsible to investigate line issues related to design or specification inquiries, give timely feedback to production team, and document errors properly for resolution.
Responsible for creating & maintaining work instructions, determining the appropriate manpower levels, and provide line support and service to production.
Industrialize new product and process changes according to project gate plan deliverables with zero disturbance mindset.
Responsible for determining the assembly sequence, time standards, line balancing, station design, and tooling requirements.
Lead continuous improvement activities focused on ergonomics, cost efficiency, productivity and performance.
Implement Industry 4.0 technologies with flexibility for product and volume changes

Requirements and experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Undergraduate degree with 5+ years demonstrated experience in a technical manufacturing role will be considered. This position does not require frequent travel.
