What you will do

At Mack & Volvo Trucks North America, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping our company, the transportation sector, and society. In this dynamic position, you will lead a creative team in a multi-brand setting, producing insightful reports and data visualizations that span various departments. Your work will distribute critical insights through KPIs and reports, essential for the entire commercial operation. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology alongside BI Developers, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers, and collaborate closely with sales and services teams.

Additionally, this role involves engaging with various management levels to influence the direction of our reporting strategies. You will coordinate the development of innovative reporting solutions for both internal stakeholders and our dealer network, and guide the IT department responsible for developing and maintaining our data warehouse. Your leadership will be crucial in prioritizing tasks and gathering requirements that enhance the functionality and efficiency of our reporting platforms.

Your Future Team

Your future team has 10 data engineers, 2 front end developers, 6 data visualization experts and 3 data scientists as well as an extensive network of BI specialists across the globe serving around 1200 corporate users and 4500 external users delivering 45 thousand report visualizations per month.

The Manager of Data Visualization will

  • Lead and manage a team that will provide timely, standardized, and meaningful reports to enable the excellence of sales & service operations.

  • Understand business requirements in BI context and be able to coordinate work with Data Engineers to achieve specific goals (creation of DataMart’s, improve of datasets, etc.)

  • Create dashboards and interactive visual reports

  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) with clear objectives and consistently monitor those

  • Analysing data and present data through reports that aid decision-making

  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish

  • Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models

  • Chart creation and data documentation explaining algorithms, parameters, models, and relations

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and perform detailed analytics

  • Perform DAX queries and functions in Power BI

  • Create customize charts and custom calculations as per requirements

  • Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs

  • SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data

  • Work with users and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions

Who are you?

  • At least 3-5 years of supervisory or direct leadership experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management or related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience working with BI tools and BI systems like Power Bi, Tableau, SAP and business objects

  • Ability to train and communicate well aiming to provide trainings around BI Tools

  • Be able to create data-rich dashboards, write DAX expressions, and implement row-level security in Power BI.

  • Good Product Owner Agile/Scrum Knowledge

This is an on-site that is located in Greensboro, NC with hybrid flexibility.
