What you will do

Service Market Logistics (SML), part of Volvo Group Trucks Operations, serves all brands and business areas by managing and optimizing service parts availability and distribution to secure customer uptime. Through our operations, we provide world class service focusing on delivery precision, quality, continuous improvement, cost efficiency and synergies delivering value all the way to our customers. SML North America (NA) is a part of SML and has about 1,000 employees across the United States, Canada and Mexico. We operate the Central Distribution Center in Byhalia, MS as well as Regional Distribution Centers across the NA region

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the business challenges and identify data-driven business insights with effective presentation of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders

• Translate business problems into metrics problems into data problems - and build insights accordingly

• Offer data analytics and finance insight towards achieving business outcomes

• Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to help determine key business conclusions

• Understand the business challenges and identify data-driven business insights with effective presentation of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders

Who are you?

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with Power Tools(Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps etc.)

• Previous experience working with Warehouse Management Systems

• Bachelors/Masters in Industrial Engineering/ Data Analysis or related field

• Experience working with Advanced Excel tools

• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

• Experience managing multiple projects/tasks delivery simultaneously

• Good communication and writing. Effectively communicates with both business and technical teams

• Able to work with Microsoft laptops, products and services

• Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75.

• Co-ops are not enrolled in academic courses during their co-op rotation and may work up to 40 hours per week

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience with Azure products(Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure Blobs, Azure SQL DB)

• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language such as Python

For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $16.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study.
